On Tuesday, June 28th, actresses Emily Bergl and Ashley Austin Morris, along with fellow cast and crew members from the Off Broadway show, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, will be building for Habitat for Humanity in Brooklyn, New York.
They will help to renovate an eight-unit building, originally built in 1931. When completed, it will become affordable condominium homes for low-income working New York City families.
The building is part of 100 Homes in Brooklyn, a new Habitat-NYC initiative to build or renovate affordable homes in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Ocean Hill-Brownsville, communities hit hard by the foreclosure crisis. The initiative is funded in part with a grant from the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2.
