Yesterday was a big day for frequent What A Pair! cast member and CSI star Marg Helgenberger. She received recognition both for her acting achievements and for her commitment to philanthropic causes.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee announced the new Walk of Fame Honorees for 2012, and Marg’s name was on the list. Marg will receive a star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame for her accomplishments in the field of television. A date has not yet been scheduled for her star ceremony as recipients have five years from the date of selection to schedule. If you would like additional information, please visit the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the announcement that she will finally be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Marg was also honored as a ‘Hollywood Hero’ at the 2nd Annual ‘Prevention Honors Hollywood Heroes’ gala, an evening dedicated to celebrating remarkable women who are committed to making a world of difference. The event, which was held at the Sunset Tower Hotel last evening, honored Emmy and Tony Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth on behalf of Maddie’s Corner, Marg on behalf of The Race to Erase MS, Holly Robinson-Peete on behalf of The HollyRod Foundation and the late Laura Ziskin on behalf of Stand Up To Cancer, for “their remarkable commitment to philanthropic causes”. Congratulations to Marg! Both honors are well deserved.
